Flabbergasted
Thursday, October 5th, 2006Stunned. Absolutely freaked out. Drusilla stays? Jerry stays? Vivica goes? What’s up with that? Drusilla fans…you are not helping your idol. She shouldn’t be there. She knows she shouldn’t be there. You know she shouldn’t be there…but she’s your idol. Well this is not a popularity contest. These folks work VERY hard to do this. Do you really want your idol to go down in the Dancing with the Stars Ballroom of History alongside P. Miller? That’s exactly what this is beginning to look like and you, her fans, will be to blame. Do her a favor…cut her loose.
Drusilla Honey…Is that You?
Wednesday, October 4th, 2006Good Lord in Heaven…What was Sara Evans thinking last night? Was that her version of the dance of the dead? I don’t know who did her make-up but that person should be fired forthwith. Aside from looking like the walking dead, Drusilla Sara looked absolutely evil and she didn’t do much dancing. It seemed like she just walked along behind her partner. I think it’s time for you to go home little girl. Jerry gets a reprieve for one more week.
So Long Harry
Thursday, September 28th, 2006
I have to say I was more than a little shocked when Harry got voted off Dancing with the Stars last night. I know he wasn’t one of the best but he had improved so much and gave his best performance yet Tuesday night. I really felt bad for the fella.
I had pegged Jerry to be the next to go but I think he has sort of become the sentimental favorite. He really tries and he is very humble, genuinely so. With the competition the stiffest it has ever been on this show, I don’t see Jerry making it past next week.
I do have to give props to Sara Evans though. She looked like a completely different person out there Tuesday night. I guess being in your element really does matter. You go Girl.
Right now I think the one to beat is Monique. Wow. She is a little firecracker and doesn’t seem to have the problem with the rules that Mario and Joey have.
It’s Back!!

Wednesday, September 20th, 2006What an action packed show last night! Everyone really stepped up to the plate with no one obviously bombing out. This is going to be a great race to the finish.

My favorites last night were Vivaca A. Fox and Joey (why is your head bald) Lawrence. Fantastic!

Most improved? Harry Hamlin without a doubt. The stick man really loosened up and had a little fun. I was pleasantly surprised.

Not so much? Well, even though the judges lightened up on her considerably, I wasn’t too awfully impressed with Sara Evans. It just seems like her heart isn’t in it. Shanna (aka WBWD…whiny baby wimp dog) didn’t do much for me either. I think one of these two will be the next to go.
What a Farce!

Thursday, September 14th, 2006Tucker Carlson? Yeah, not so much.
My favorite reality show (the only one I will watch actually) Dancing with the Stars is back and I am thinking it is actually going to be a very entertaining season. I waited until after the first results show to post because I wanted to be sure we would have folks doing some legitimate voting this time and not another Master P fiasco.
I thought Tucker should be the one to go (hands down) and he did. I was pleased. I was not pleased, however, with the judges’ treatment of Sara Evans. Did she burn someone’s biscuits or what? Man, they just don’t seem to like her at all and I do believe the feeling is mutual. Whoa, major attitude happening there. Now, now kiddies…play nice.
My favorites so far? Well, Emmett Smith BLEW ME AWAY! Who knew? Mario Lopez was nothing short of amazing. He should have had to ice down his entire body after that display of excellence! I also enjoyed Vivica A. Fox. I think her fire is inspiring if not a bit intimidating.
Problem children? Harry Hamlin looked like a tortured stick man on valium. Very disappointing. I wanted to like Joey Lawrence but his new bald, mafioso-like look is not at all endearing. Where’s the sweetness?
Next to go? Probably Harry Hamlin or Jerry Springer. Of course, the smoldering war between the judges and Sara Evans could do her in as well.
Overall, I am really looking forward to the rest of this season and I will keep you posted on how it’s going.
Fantasiastic!!
Monday, August 21st, 2006If you have not yet seen the Fantasia Barrino story on Lifetime, let me highly recommend that you make the time to catch it. I saw it last night and enjoyed it immensely. Kudos to you Girl. What a ride!
