Look what we got for Christmas!
Addison Grace Elizabeth Marable was born at 9:15 am on Christmas Eve to The Kid and Baby Boy thus officially making me Aunt Deb The Great! How cool is that?
This is a shot of Mother & Daughter. The hand on Addison’s head is my Mama’s.
This one is Addison with her Grandmother (my sister Brenda). She’s Brenda’s first grandchild.
And now with her Great Grandmama (my Mother). Mama’s first great grandchild too.
Plus one of all three of them. Steph wasn’t allowing any shots of her just yet. Can’t blame her there. Keep an eye out here for more to come of our little addition!
A friend of mine at Smurf Village is a former Marine and, as such, has an affinity for all things of the military ilk. Recently, his neighbor hit and killed a squirrel while backing out of his driveway. The neighbor’s kids decided to make the best of the situation and, ever so proud of themselves, sent photographic proof of their efforts to my fellow Smurf.
Are you sure?
You have to be sure…
Well, I told you guys some stuff had happened during our time apart and here is one of the biggest things that occurred…
Applause please!! Yes, yes, Baby Boy and The Kid finally tied the knot and we could not be happier! I would say she is pretty happy too. What do you think? They are amazing together and Aunt Deb wholeheartedly approves.
When the Chief retired last week, I took Pops with me to his retirement dinner. Our Department Photographer, Ken, who happens to be my photographic mentor as well, took this pic of me and my Pops that night.
My Pops is so proud of me and he is all about Smurf Village. Every time we come out with a new ball cap, jacket, t-shirt, or whatever, he’s got to have it. I’ve been telling him he’s going to go through withdrawals when I retire. Now, I’ve been kicked to the curb because he says he golfs with the new Chief so he’s all set! Ohhh the pain.
How do you say “Goodbye” to a hero and do it right? Click here and see how we did it.
Went to Mama & Pop’s for dinner last night..it was too good…too, too good…oh my!
See for yourself and be jealous, very jealous…
For those of you who may need some defining…collards, blackeyed peas with onions, applesauce (because Peter Brady says so), and a beautifully done pork chop…excuse me, I’m drooling…again…
