According to the Johnston County, NC Marriage Register, he married Ella F. Parker on July 13, 1887. His parents were given as Curtis and Sallie Johnson. Curtis Johnson is listed on the 1880 census in Panther Branch Township, Wake County (p. 215, Household 33/37). He was a 45 year old house carpenter.
