Oh Jill, I too back up all over the place but it did me no good. It was as if I hit the magic number or something and suddenly it all went into nuclear meltdown. Nothing I did mattered. I tried files I had uploaded to wemightbekin a month earlier...NOPE. I tried to load the GEDCOM version...NOPE. I tried the various and sundry backups...NOPE. I even tried moving it all to another computer...NOPE.

Something for you to chew on...when I went to the FTM forums for help, I found out that this isn't all that rare. As a matter of fact, it is happening more and more. Further research led me to learn that FTM in general is losing credibility across the board for problems just like this.

Just something to keep in mind. I would hate for you to run into the same problem. I have always used FTM and I never had a problem...but when I did...I REALLY did!

OMG! I use FTM as well--and just backed up then backed up my back up to an external drive. I certainly hope you will be able to resurrect your hard work. ASAP (always say a prayer).
