Thoughts

Tuesday, February 27th, 2007

Don’t you just hate it when you get a phone call from a number you don’t recognize but no one says anything when you answer? You say “Hello” a couple times more but still no response so you hang up.

Of course then you start thinking that maybe it was someone from the past…maybe a lost love…someone who couldn’t live another minute, draw another breath, without hearing your voice…someone too afraid to speak your name so they say nothing…choosing only to listen to your voice.

Then a day, maybe two later, the phone rings again and the call is coming from the same number. You answer, heart thumping, afraid.

You are not interested in refinancing your house. You hang up.

Isn’t Hope a funny thing?

Babies

Mommy got a little camera happy. Sophie and Mollie couldn’t be bothered though. I guess they were just too tired after playing all day! Click the photos to make them bigger. Enjoy.

Peace, Be Still

Tuesday, February 27th, 2007

There is a sound I absolutely love to hear that just seems to soothe my soul almost instantly…the sound of a Mourning Dove. Yesterday morning, after I got out of the shower, I heard the familiar sound and felt an immediate peace and calm. The dove had apparently perched himself on the roof of my house either near or actually on the vent leading to the bathroom. It was as if I was blessed with my very own private concert. I closed my eyes and let it wash over me, a true serenity. As I thought back on it throughout my day, I remembered to thank God for his gift to me of the precious song of the Mourning Dove.

You Are 22% Evil

A bit of evil lurks in your heart, but you hide it well.
In some ways, you are the most dangerous kind of evil.

Not So Much

Friday, February 23rd, 2007

Grey’s Anatomy last night? Well, in my most humble and individual opinion, it bombed. Don’t get me wrong. I am so grateful that Grey isn’t blue anymore. That’s a good thing. And I loved Yang’s performance…awesome. As for the rest of it? How is the death of Grey’s Mother, who we have no investment in anyway, a devastating conclusion? I wasn’t devastated…wasn’t even bothered really. HEY!! I’m not being callous! We just didn’t really know this woman and, what we did know, wasn’t too impressive. She was a monster to Grey and now she is dead. Okay, I’m good with that. Sorry Shonda Rimes, this one wasn’t up to your standards.

Thumbs down from me.

Saving Blue Grey

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007

Tonight is about one thing and one thing only…saving blue Meredith Grey. Good Lord she certainly looked dead at the end of last week’s show but please, please, please don’t let it be so. I’m reluctant to flat out state positively that they can’t or won’t kill her off because…well, they just might…it could happen. According to the swirling spoilers and rumors, there will be yet another “death” on tonight’s episode and one of the two will stick.

Therefore, you are hereby formally warned and admonished…phone calls to my house and/or my cell will not be acknowledged during or after the 9 o’clock hour. I must focus all of my attention and efforts on saving blue Grey.

Push the epi folks, we’re losing her!
