Laugh It Up

Monday, April 30th, 2007

Margaret Cho was in concert on TV last night. I went to bed way late. Why? Because Margaret Cho was in concert on TV last night. That woman is so laugh out loud funny…so I did…laugh out loud.

The only thing I have to take umbrage at is the completely unnecessary foul language. Woman, you are hilarious…the smut mouth? Not so much. Still, thanks for the humor workout.

Want to have a great day and feel good doing it? Laugh it up!

Mmm, Mmm Good!

Sunday, April 29th, 2007

Went to lunch after church today with SilverBlue at my favorite dining spot, Carrabba’s. Delicious doesn’t even come close…it was really, really good. The doggie bag is in the fridge and will serve as dinner tomorrow evening. Our server was Dominica and I do believe we will be asking for her again. She ranks right up there with our other favorite Carrabba’s server, Arrika.

SilverBlue is looking good these days. He’s been on the Body for Life program and is working it for all it’s worth. The results are most noticeable already. Check him out on his BFL blog and follow his journey yourself. You just might get inspired. Keep it up my friend and I will set your appointment for the cover of GQ myself. ;)

What’s Your Religious Philosophy

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

I thought I would try this but some of the questions didn’t have an answer I liked so I picked whichever came closest. I AM a believer but I am not a proponent of my religion being the one true way…unless by “religion” they mean Christian and are not referring to denominations and such.

I don’t know…sometimes I do struggle with understanding the beliefs of others. It almost seems like other beliefs hold tenets that very much resemble Christ and Christianity but they call it by different names. Hmmm. Still, an interesting little quiz.

You are a Believer

You believe in God and your chosen religion.
Whether you’re Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or Hindu..
Your convictions are strong and unwavering.
You think your religion is the one true way, for everyone.
What’s Your Religious Philosophy?

Wham Bam Spam

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007

I have been COMPLETELY overrun with spam of the xxx not so nice kind for the last several days. I am having to delete HUNDREDS of comments a day due to sheer nastiness. What’s happening? Why are they attacking The BoneCollector?

If you happen to leave a comment and it never makes it to the blog, please forgive me and let me know about it. It probably got swept up in a massive deep-cleaning and tossed out with the filth.

Beware you ugly filth mongers…I am on the warpath!!

Unreliable Contractor Man has a new name. From this point forward, he shall be known as He Who Did the Right Thing. He showed up on my doorstep last night and handed me nearly 90% of what he owes me. I was floored.

Apparently, he and Psychocondriac have been ordered into mediation by the court. The mediator laid out all of their bills (apparently a boatload) and He Who Did the Right Thing was adamant that I be paid first. Mediator Guy tried to encourage him to pay what appeared to be more pressing bills first but he would not be swayed.

Making things right with me was a priority to him, so he showed up at my house and handed me the money with a huge smile on his face and a promise of monthly payments for the balance. I am so proud of him and I told him so. Our friendship will begin anew but with baby steps for the time being.

I’m off to the bank!

Saint M. D.

Monday, April 23rd, 2007

My doctor is a saint among physicians. I am even considering notifying the Vatican to consider her for sainthood. What did she do, you ask? Well, let me share.

After I told her the horror story about my near death migraine headache experience, she gave me samples of a medication to try. I have used it exactly 6 times and it has worked exactly 6 times. I am in awe…truly, in awe.

This wonder drug is Maxalt and I now have a prescription of my very own. Bless you Tiny Doctor Saint, bless you.

By the way, my doctor is about four feet tall so the moniker of Tiny Doctor Saint is fitting and will remain.
