Good News…Finally

Aunt Lillian was released from the hospital today and actually made it all the way out of the room this time! Imagine that! She is just so glad to be home and we are happy to have her there as well. Of course, the road to recovery will be a long one and her back will need time and rest to heal but we will see to it that she gets lots of TLC.

Mama saw her doc today and he put her on pain patches which release a steady flow of medication and will hopefully help to make her more comfortable. Her pain has still been so very bad. She is scheduled for an MRI this Sunday. They hope the results of that will allow them to stay away from any talk of surgery for the time being and that the disk and nerve will be able to heal over time with pain management and therapy. As of this evening, the patches seemed to be helping. That’s a very good thing. Prayers please.

My sister found out that she was accepted into the full nursing program. There were only so many slots available and those folks in the nursing classes she just went through had to have really great grades and interview well to be chosen to continue on…and on she goes!! Nice job!

On top of finding out that she got accepted, my sister also found out that the house she and her fella and kids were trying to buy will be theirs and they will be in the house before Christmas! How’s that for “Merry Christmas”?

We had our Christmas party for our little section of Smurf Village today and we had a ball. I guess, all in all, it wasn’t a bad end to what started out to be a pretty stress filled week. God was in control…we were just along for the ride… :D

Here’s a shot of our Beanie Baby Christmas Tree on our hall at Smurf Village. I helped “V” Smurf put it up but the Beanies were all her idea and an awesome idea it was…

I wrote this as if it was all happening on Friday, which it was. I did not realize that the clock had slipped past midnight before I finished so the post date actually is Saturday. Don’t be confused please… :D
