Need Prayers
Just after 4:00 this afternoon, massive tornadoes touched down in Suffolk, VA…a mere 15 to 20 miles from my home. The aftermath was devastating. At least one person has been confirmed dead {UPDATE: We have now been told that no one was killed…HALLELUJAH!!} and more than 200 injured. These are some preliminary photos…we have never seen the likes of this in this area before…

Thank God we are safe and it could have been so very much worse, to be sure. Please remember all of these folks in your thoughts and prayers. They are going to need it for a long time to come.

I heard a tornado warning for the Kerr Lake area in Vance County, NC yesterday. Last night they were reporting damage in Suffolk and I knew it must have been the same line of storms. I was very concerned since I have a place at Kerr Lake. I am very sorry for anyone in the path of such a storm. Thank God everyone lived.
