For the time being, I will not be udating the Family Reports or the GEDCOM due to the nuclear meltdown with the Family Tree Maker and the various and sundry problems it caused. As soon as I get everything and everyone back to the way they are supposed to be, the updates will be back in full swing. I will keep you all posted.

I will still be posting Death Certificates, Obituaries (thanks Lee), and other items as often as I can so do look for those. Thanks for your patience.

Major, major announcement for Langdon and Beaman bonecollectors! Listen up folks…

Missouri has gone technological and put a pile of death certificates on-line. Oh yes, you read that right. Check it out for yourselves right here.

By the way, it doesn’t seem to like Firefox as far as bringing up the images is concerned but they come right up in Internet Explorer. Wow. Wow. Wow.

This is big!!

I have had several requests for my entire database being made available for download. Well, if you ask, I will try my best to accomodate.

The two links you will find here are for my entire database in either a gedcom format or the Family Tree Maker format. Both files are very large so, unless you have a high speed connection, I wouldn't even attempt this download.

Just right click on the link for whichever file you want and choose "save target as" and go from there. You really shouldn't have any problems. Let me know if you do.

My Langdon Family - Gedcom File

My Langdon Family -Family Tree Maker File

By the way, these files are entitled "My Langdon Family" simply because that is where this massive search of mine began...with the search for "my Langdon family". I saw no reason to ever change the name of the file. Rest assured, the entire database is there.

Apparently, the Harnett County Cemeteries site is undergoing an overhaul and is woefully underaccessible at this time. I attempted to send them an e-mail asking when the site might be fully functional again as so many of us use it on a regular basis and enjoy it immensely but my e-mail was kicked back twice saying the address was invalid. Soooo, I guess we will just have to be patient and hope this downtime doesn't last too long.

On a bright note, I did peruse the listings a bit and found several new additions. Hopefully, when it does come back online in a fully functional capacity, it will have been well worth the wait!

I just updated alll of the Family Reports (except those donated by other folks of course) and added a few new ones as well. You will also find a file with Source Material for Ivey Family Descendants that comes to us courtesy of Jennifer Bohannon.

Have fun trolling through everything!

Jill Sturgis sent in an update to her Family Report on James Samuel Cobb, Sr., including the fact that his name should actually just be Samuel Cobb. Hmm, seems she has done quite a job of bonecollecting here...plus her report has grown from "5" pages to "54" pages! Thanks for the hard work Jill and thanks so much for sharing.
